Working in three dimensions seems to be a natural progression for me. For some years I've been drawn towards a more tactile sense of form, having spent the majority of my life expressing everything on a flat plane. So far, my 3d work involves studies in mixed materials and working with familiar materials in potentially different ways. Typically the design of form first comes out on paper, but I like to let the materials work out the details - another opportunity to not over-think. More pieces to come.
